So I sit down to write whilst I am in the midst of limbo.

Maybe I should introduce myself. I am Melannie. An Australian currently living in Edinburgh whilst I await my K1 visa so I can move to the United states and marry my fiancé the Jersey Dairy Farmer.

The limbo occurs as I have been placed into administrative processing (AP) by the US Embassy (USE) London. I'm not completely blameless in this process I understand, but I was told I was approved. The fact they had not completed their part of the process should not be my responsibility.

Anyway I am waiting. As I have been made redundant (got to love the finance industry) and as they have my passport with my Ancestry Visa (my permission to live and work in the UK) I can't look for another position. So I am trying to fill my time appropriately and practically without spending as little money as possible.

This includes cooking, walking, knitting, reading, studying etc. But I want to be productive I want to be the Proverbs woman. SO off to research I go and will report more anon.
